The Never Ending Design Process

Hey guys!! So lately, I've been so happy about the fact that it's finally getting over, I kinda forgot to work on it, as the jury got postponed. Whoa! There's not much time left and I must start with my design brief.

So, here it goes !!

AIM: To create a few designs for packaging and takeaway, which is efficient as well as effective.

OBJECTIVE: Packaging and Takeaway

MILESTONES:
  • Ideation: My idea is to create new designs for packaging and takeawy which entice the foreigner visitors.
  • Detailing: Focussing on the intricacies of the packaging boxed and takeaway packets.
  • Rendering: Rendering the different sketches made, in order to give an idea about what colours make it more pleasing to the eyes.
  • Prototype: What my packaging boxes will look like
  • Testing: Taking suggestions from the shop owner about how he liked my idea and what changes he would want in it
  • Refinements: Making changes in the models on the basis of the owner's feedback
Before coming up with cool designs for the attractive packagings, I had done hell loads of explorations. Have a look!!

I Be The Technical Geek

Hey guys!!

After a lot of haphazard with the design brief and the prototype, we were bombarded with a new task that was making boards for the design brief.

Oh God, please help me survive in this design college.
I NEED A BREAKKKK!!!

A quick breeze through the brief

After the formative jury was done, the next herculean task was my design brief.
Waaaoo the last part of the project, finally!!
Succhhaa relief :D

"A design brief is a written document for a design project developed
in concert by a person representing the business need for design
and the designer. The document is focused on the desired results of design – not aesthetics."

Living young and wild and free!!

"So what we get drunk

So what we smoke weed.

We're just having fun

We don't care who sees

So what we go out

That's how its supposed to be

Living young and wild and free"

Whoa!! Life after jury has become fun, peaceful, calm and actually a hell lot better!!

THE DAY - Jury!!

The day, the most dreadful day because it was Jury today. The formative assessment because Pearl and submissions are INSEPARABLE... Just like samosa and aloo!!  Hah XD

So formative was kind off fine. The individual feedback was better than the group feedback, obviously because we did not do the group map and the visual scenario board.

I had done a fine amount of work and I was just asked to add a few more visuals and try linking the project because it seemed a little abrupt in the middle.

It's a trap but I don't know how!

So well, I have made the changea and added the visuals and I hope they will like it the next time. *High Hopes*

That's all for now! See you next week :*
Stay tuned.

The Pandemonium

After a great weekend, and my favourite festival Holi, which is as beautiful as colors... coming back to the college was no less than a herculean task!!

It was as dreadful, trust me!!

Even after pathetically long hours of briefings, there was hell lot of confusion regarding anything and everything. We all were confused between the macro and micro area of our project.
We were told to make 5 boards earlier which were - inspiration, concept, material, color and mood board at the time of briefing but then the statemnt was contradicted due to the confusion.

Now we were asked to make 3 boards which were - Visual culture scenario, Product and merchandise scenario and Socio culture scenario. After the brain storming with one of our faculty, we were just give one day to make all the 3 boards.
JUST 1 DAY!!!! IMAGINE!!! Poor Us!!

After struggling with ideas and resourcing material, all the groups finally started making their boards a few hours before the submission. Its 1:35pm and nobody is done with the work yet.

So, lets see... what happens next!
